THE DREAMS TWO LIVES

Le groupe The Dreams, membre de la Grande Triple Alliance Internationale de l’Est, arrive au Gran Lux (une salle de projection souterraine, une usine pour fabriquer des films) pour participer au tournage d’un film musical. Après beaucoup de fumées et d’ondulations, voix et guitare transforment le plateau de tournage en jungle subphonique.
Que se passe-t-il au Gran Lux lorsqu’il est fermé au public ? Ce documentaire-fiction répond un peu à cette question, exfiltre images et secrets de fabrication.
Dans ce studio de cinéma de fortune, devant les caméras analogiques, on peut oublier totalement où l’on est (au sud d’une petite métropole de la province française).
Inspiré-aspiré ici par deux tubes de The Dreams joués en direct (live) (Milk by myself et Aloha Miami issus de Morbido, leur unique et merveilleux album), on se retrouve à mi-chemin entre les Caraïbes et les w.c. de Saturne…

THE DREAMS TWO LIVES

The group The Dreams, members of the Great International Triple Alliance of the East, arrive at the Gran Lux (an underground screening room, a factory for making films) to take part in the shooting of a musical film. After much smoke and ripples, vocals and guitar transform the set into a subphonic jungle.
What happens at the Gran Lux when it’s closed to the public? This documentary-drama goes some way to answering that question, extracting images and production secrets.
In this makeshift film studio, in front of analogue cameras, you can totally forget where you are (in the south of a small town in the French provinces).
Inspired by two of The Dreams’ hits played live (Milk by myself and Aloha Miami from Morbido, their marvellous one-off album), we find ourselves halfway between the Caribbean and the toilets of Saturn…
